For nearly 50 years The Grove was an important part of the community here in Braunstone. Initially known as The Coffee Bar in the 1970s, it became the home of an adult learning service and, more recently, as a youth centre and sports facility.
Sadly, in 2016, Leicester city council stopped delivering services from the building and wanted to handover ownership to the community. This has meant that for much of the last two years the building has been underused and has sadly fallen prey to regular vandalism. We think that it’s time that The Grove was bought back to life and once again become an important part of Braunstone and our community.

We want to save The Grove and turn it into a community hub for the whole of Braunstone
B-inspired – a local charity – has taken over the lease of the building from the city council and plans are already underway to start renovating The Grove and turning it into a community hub that everyone in Braunstone can be proud of.

We’ve decided to set up a crowdfunding campaign to raise much needed cash to help us with our renovations and to make The Grove a fantastic new community hub for everyone, young and old.

This includes plans to renovate the existing artificial pitches, as well as creating new facilities such as a social bar, a community café and also a dance and fitness studio – all of which the community has asked for.

To do this we need your help and support

So, whether you can only afford to pledge a couple of quid or are a local business able to pledge a hundred, we really need your help to get The Grove back to being at the heart of our community.
Please support our campaign by pledging whatever you can – and in return we’ll show our thanks with one of a number of different rewards that we’ve put together for people supporting The Grove.

Thank you.
