A-inspired a local charity and community business in Braunstone, is making ground breaking changes to the way business is done the in the community!

Through Power to Change – (Lottery funds) it is one of just six community organisations, known as Catalysts in England, that are being invested in to develop ‘Community businesses’ locally.

A community business is a business that is ran by local people, for people and all the profits go back in to the local community.  Sustainable business’s not only make sense but make for brighter places!

‘B-inspired is proud to be a catalyst for change in Braunstone, we believe this is a unique opportunity for people to find out about the world of community business and get involved in making Braunstone a brighter place.’

Braunstone’s first Community Cafe will be based at The Braunstone Grove and will serve a range of healthy food options to the local community. The café will be housed in the recently refurbished building that has state of the art facilities. However, the Cafe still has a long way to go before being opened to the public and that’s where we need your help!

We’re looking for volunteers who have an interest in hospitality and want to develop their skills in this area. As we’re just starting our journey, we are looking for people who want to make change and shape the direction of this new community venture. By working as a team, more can be accomplished than on our own, we have an excellent training package for those wanting to get involved.

Dawn, B-inspired’s new Community Cafe Development Worker is excited to begin this journey in the Braunstone Community.  Dawn said ‘I have a real drive to help the local community to set up a successful café on their doorstep. By setting up this community business we are not only offering an inviting space to grab a coffee and a slice of cake, but somewhere we can support volunteers to learn new skills and gain accredited training qualifications.  Any profits made will be ploughed back into supporting the local community and that’s key for me’.
