Braunstone’s first Community Shop will be based on ‘Wellinger Way’ and will sell good quality second hand clothing, household wears and eventually white goods.  The shop still has a long way to go before being opened to the public and that’s why we need your help!

We’re looking for volunteers who have an interest in retail and want to develop their skills in this area. As we’re just starting our journey, we are looking for people who want to make change and shape the direction of this new community venture.  By working as a team, more can be accomplished than on our own, we have an excellent training package for those wanting to get involved.

Marian, B-inspired’s new Community Shop Development Worker is excited to begin this journey in the Braunstone Community.  Marian said  ‘I see my role as working with volunteers from the community in creating a successful community business for the community of Braunstone and using any profits to benefit people within that community. I also see it becoming one that creates opportunities for volunteers to learn and develop skills that could potentially be used in a new role for them to gain paid employment elsewhere.’
