B-inspired News   •   August 6th, 2021

After 4 years in the making, from an initial consultation with the community to see what they wanted, to the acquisition of The Braunstone Grove and refurbishment of the site to have new café facilities.  It’s finally time to introduce you to ‘Parkside Community Café’.

The brand-new community business is run by local people, for local people.  The community café will be selling a range hot drinks, sweet treats and healthy snacks for local people using The Braunstone Grove facilities and beyond, venturing in to the heart of Braunstone.

Through the support of the ‘Empowering Places programme’ funded via Power to Change – Community Lottery fund and B-inspired’s vision on making Braunstone Brighter for the future.  The development of a new cafe on the Braunstone estate will be a fantastic accompaniment to Braunstone.  The cafe will meet the need of local people by; providing a selection of food to suit different people needs, offering a relaxing atmosphere for people to meet and socialise of a good cuppa, whilst good quality food at affordable prices.

The new community café held a taster session today for the first time, allowing members of the community to sample a selection of sweets treats the café will have on offer.  People also got the chance to give feedback on what they want to see in the future, allowing the community to shape the menu as the new community venture develops.

Throughout August, Parkside Community Café will be holding a range of taster sessions at  days and times to meet the needs of local people.  These sessions will feed into the cafes development.  More details will be published shortly on the brand new ‘Parkside Community Café’ social pages.
