b-creative offers to support enrichment and creative activities for schools, community groups and talented individuals.

Community first

b-creative acts as a link between creative practitioners, schools, pre-schools and adult learners and builds cohesion between schools and the community.

Working closely with schools and artists, b-creative aims to support individuals via a Creative Network, and raise the profile of creativity within the community.

Creative networks

Managing a Creative Network Forum, running workshops, inviting guest speakers and putting on trips to art venues, b-creative is both dynamic and inclusive. Contributors to b-creative are welcomed to become part of the organisation, taking ownership of the Network, and to build and ensure future sustainability.

New projects

b-creative is setting up a young person’s Creative Network, in association with other partners and practitioners, linking in with Voluntary Action Leicester and ‘Find Your Talent.’ This initiative will provide the confidence and opportunities for young people in the community to work towards the Young Peoples Arts Award accreditation.

In addition to this, we also work in partnership with other agencies through the creative partnerships, encouraging and supporting a wide range of activities and events.

At the forefront of communication with creative practitioners, schools, pre-schools and adult learners, our Community Development approach supports the integration of creativity into the community.

In addition to the practical application of community arts, b-creative is active in seeking funding from external sources.

Artists in residence

The Artist in Residence qualification has provided the necessary skills for the Arts Workers to apply for external opportunities which will bring income into the project, as well as providing income for other Artists in Residence living in the community.
