“We are dedicated to carry on the ground breaking work undertaken by BCA and the New Deal for Communities Initiative in developing successful neighbourhoods, and providing the services and support needed to continue to embrace and nurture talent and potential in our exciting and diverse communities.”
Enterprise Coaching is a new project that’s part European funded to work in three areas of Leicester - Braunstone, Beaumont Leys and New Parks.
It aims to help people in these areas to start businesses. The project is based on research to find out what kind of support people in disadvantaged areas need to develop their business ideas.
Enterprise Coaching is particularly interested in helping people in:
Sports - Team and event management e.g. coaching, instruction, facilitating events.
Caring - e.g. Childcare or care of Seniors
Social enterprise opportunities - Setting up trade partnerships for the benefit of the local community
Health and Disability - Consultation and assessments
However this is not exclusive and we welcome ideas from people from any background and with any business ideas.
Sam Larke says “I’ve had seven years running my own business. When I sold it I wanted to do something worthwhile that used my skills and knowledge. I volunteered for the Red Cross while I looked for the right job... And I found it.
This job is perfect! As project manager I can use what I know to help other people develop their ideas into reality. What we offer is free hands-on support and a budget for specialist consultants who work in your chosen field. It’s a real life, real time service, tailored to suit your needs. We have the expertise and all the useful contacts to help you to be successful!”
b-inspired’s Barbara Waling
“My partner is self employed and I helped him run his business before I joined b-inspired. I’ve been with b-inspired for over a year and I’m looking forward to helping people decide if self employment or business start up is a real option.
We can help you make your money go further, which will be important to your new business. We both think there are a lot of people out there with the ideas and skills who just need that helping hand and guidance, we’re here to do that. Give us a call.”
Braunstone Resident,

Completing several courses, she has worked within the community and has now qualified as a reflexologist Janine is working with b-inspired to develop her business idea into self employment. She says, “This a big step for me but I am determined to make my reflexology business work. I’m glad that Sam & Barbara are here to give me support I need.”
