With Christmas just around the corner – just under 10 weeks away - we’re excited to kick off one of Braunstone Foodshare’s biggest campaigns of the year, our Christmas Dinner Campaign. This campaign grows year on year, thanks to the generosity of the local community. From individuals and families to schools, churches, local businesses, and community groups-your kindness never fails to inspire us.
Last Christmas, your donations helped us provide every Foodshare member and their family with a festive hamper filled with essentials and some Christmas treats! The support didn’t stop there, as donated items helped sustain our Foodshare and provided families with vital support throughout the rest of the year.
This winter, we want to make this happen again, but we need your support! By donating food items or a Christmas Hamper, you’ll help ensure no family misses out on the joy of Christmas.
Here are some of the items we need most this Christmas:
Tins: potatoes, fruit, veg, meat
Yorkshire pudding mix
Sage & onion stuffing mix
Gravy granules
Jars of pickles / chutneys
Savoury snacks (crisps, nuts)
Sweet snacks (chocolates, cakes, Christmas pudding)
Juice / squash
Soup
If you would like to donate this Christmas, we would appreciate it if you could donate your items to us by Friday 28th November. Items can be dropped off at b inspired Neighbourhood Support Base, Gallards Hill, LE3 1QR. We kindly ask that you contact us in advance to arrange your drop-off time.
