What is it? 
Are you looking to increase your fitness but you’re not sure where to start? Join the ‘Live Well Leicester’ Weekly Walking Group! Walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome and will be accommodated for. 
 
The Walks will differ in route every week, with some taking more scenic routes, such as the beautiful Braunstone Park and others exploring the streets of Braunstone. You may find there are areas which you have never explored before and are right on your doorstep! 
The duration of the walks will gradually increase throughout the month. This will give you the chance to increase your stamina and see real improvement in your fitness. 
 
 
When & Where? 
The Walk takes place every Thursday at 10am, they will start and end at the b inspired Neighbourhood Support Base, Gallards Hill, LE3 1QR. You don’t need to pre-book but if it is your first walk, please try and show up a few minutes early for registration. Why should I get involved? 
Walking has been proven to boost immune function, ease joint pain and even reduce sugar cravings! It also is a natural mood booster and can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. 
 
You will also get the chance to meet people in your local community who you otherwise may never have crossed paths with and create new and long-lasting friendships. You will also be offered free hot drinks after every walk!
