Support the Braunstone Alert to Sustain Community News in Braunstone

The Braunstone Alert is a bi-monthly community magazine, produced and published by b inspired’s Neighbourhood Support Team, with 2500 copies of each edition being distributed throughout Braunstone. 

 

Each edition usually includes a variety of local updates and photographs, as well as positive local stories and useful up-to-date information, such as events happening in the area. We also offer advertising space to businesses and organisations, at competitive rates. 

 

B inspired have been funding and producing the Braunstone Alert since the late 90’s. However, in the last two years, the cost of printing the Alert has increased significantly. This, coupled with the amount of staff time it takes to produce the Alert, has put a significant strain on our resources as a charity. 

 

Since becoming a charity in 2012, we have been trying to cover the cost of printing the Alert, by inviting local businesses and organisations to purchase advertising space. In recent years, the gap between what we pay to produce and publish the Alert and the amount of money made through advertising has increased significantly. This is a cost that we now have to find a way of covering. We are asking for your support to keep this free resource available to the community. 

 

We’re asking local businesses and community groups to help support the Braunstone Alert, by purchasing advertising space, sponsoring the magazine, or becoming one of our patrons. This is a great way of gaining interest in your business, in a sustainable way, that works for the benefit of the local community. Previous advertisers have included businesses such as Coop Hallam Crescent, AGM Windscreens and Bounce Beyond Leicester. As well as this, organisations such as Braunstone Community Primary, Leicester Adult Education and Live Well Leicester have also advertised with us. 

 

So, how can you help us? 

 

• Advertise locally for as little as £40 for a business card-sized advert (in full colour) – Full price list below. 

• Sponsor the Braunstone Alert - £500 or above will buy you an article in the Alert promoting your business, as well as business card-sized adverts in the next 6 editions (across 12 months). 

• Become a patron – Meet your Corporate Social Responsibility targets by making a regular donation to the Braunstone Alert. We will feature the name of your business in the magazine as one of our patrons. 

For businesses and community groups wanting to advertise in the Braunstone Alert, we are also able to negotiate deals on advertising costs, such as discounts for purchasing multiple adverts across several editions.
